Ps 127:3 Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man: so are the children of the youth.Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate

2011
Well, as we are coming up on ending 2011 a year that brought us joy, excitement, tears, disappointment we are reflected on those times. We welcomed 2011 with our 4/5th year homeschooling our daughters. We came in with a bang and our oldest daughter Nicole turning 22. We are so proud of her accomplishments in life and are super proud of her being the woman she has become. We then turn to our precious gift Catey who turned 4 in March and has become the light of our life since the day this red head was born. She takes after her Great Pawpaw with her beautiful red hair and gorgeous blue eyes. We then came up on our almost 5 month and 4/5yr homeschooling,we went on many trips field trips to be exact and some very exciting ones. We also welcomed 2011 with our other children turning 19 in June, our precious little miracle Gracilynn turning 1 July 23rd,our Emily turning 7 Aug,Alyson 10 double digits Sept and our newest 20 yr old Oct 3rd.We also had some tears and heart ache when we learned Chuck's Dad has Cancer, inoperable Cancer but praise God he is still with us. Its terrible though when family divides and some are lost because of it,but we pray daily for peace and comfort during this time and know that one day we will meet again when our heavenly father comes for us. We welcome our 9th pregnancy in August but quickly found out we lost our precious angel and he/she is not residing with God in his arms, we also got some other exciting news at the same time,we are now going to be Grandparents. Our oldest Daughter Nicole will welcome her first baby coming April 2012.
So even though 2011 brought us some joy, tears, excitement, disappointment we are knowing that 2012 will be more.

Whats new!!!
Well, we started our Christmas break last Friday, the girls were excited to have a break from school,so here we are. We are doing our MOH timeline so,we are making and decorating Adam,Eve,Tubal and Jubal Cain. Next I am into alot of projects, this is what I get for watching "This old House" I have now decided to redo the cabinets, paint them to be exact. Not sure if I want a brown or Charcoal color. I found an awesome old antique dresser that I am refinishing for our 10 yr old daughter, I also picked up an old mid western TV hutch, that I am also refinishing.SO I have a ton of projects going on that I need to complete in our 2 week break.
I have also been reading an awesome book By Elizabeth George called "How to raise your daughters after God's own heart" I can say enough about the book except if you have daughters get it,right now we have 5 daughters and 2 sons, our 1 daughter and 2 sons are grown and so we now have 4 little girls to raise.

Our Math activity for Pre-K
I printed out number cards on card stock and took a marker and drew different shapes on the card to match the number's.I also did some stickers on some of the cards to show the number as well.
Then what we do is take some dried beans, or even buttons and they turn 1 card at a time over and count out the counters to match the numbers.
This can also go well with matching shapes as well with numbers, sort of like two for one, matching shapes and numbers.

Update
Its been forever since I have written anything,so much has happened in our lives. We gave birth to our beautiful 5th girl,7th child. She had a rought start but made it by the Grace of God. I truly felt God watching over her and I.She is now 3 months old, born July 23rd. During the same time we welcomed our newest Niece Charlotte Linn into the world,my Bil and Sil gave birth July as well, and I's super excited for them. My brother had a little girl in March which makes his 3rd daughter.
We are on our 3rd yr homeschooling and God is working tremendously in our lives b/c of it and more that needs work. I am going through a transformation during it,I have had no patience but again by God's Grace he is teaching me to become more patient with my kids.To let things go and not put so much infesious on stuff.
Our 9yr old and 6yr old started their cheer competitions,it's our 9yr old's 3rd yr cheering and our 6yr olds second yr,they both love it. Our 3yr old daughter started tumbling class last week and has been the cutest one doing it.

Recieved our diagnostic testing in the mail yesterday
So, today once Catey takes a nap, mommy is going to test Ally for Language Arts and Math,to see where she places. We are doing the CLP curriculum and can't wait.I'm still torn between the private school or homeschooling, maybe one at a time.I might put Emily in the private school and keep Ally home.God is really pulling me towards homeschooling.I find myself getting mad at the girls because they don't listen and are not doing what I tell them, when I do give them work. I know my 2nd grader can do her work on her own,she has done it before.

Homeschool Journal for May 26 "What does your backyard look like?
Today our homeschool journal is "What does your backyard look like?
Ally wrote her backyard is big enough for a horse.
She feels like she can go pick a flower,it's so pretty.
We have a ton of homeschool things to tackle today, like for instance math, language arts and phonics.
