2011

Well, as we are coming up on ending 2011 a year that brought us joy, excitement, tears, disappointment we are reflected on those times. We welcomed 2011 with our 4/5th year homeschooling our daughters. We came in with a bang and our oldest daughter Nicole turning 22. We are so proud of her accomplishments in life and are super proud of her being the woman she has become. We then turn to our precious gift Catey who turned 4 in March and has become the light of our life since the day this red head was born. She takes after her Great Pawpaw with her beautiful red hair and gorgeous blue eyes. We then came up on our almost 5 month and 4/5yr homeschooling,we went on many trips field trips to be exact and some very exciting ones. We also welcomed 2011 with our other children turning 19 in June, our precious little miracle Gracilynn turning 1 July 23rd,our Emily turning 7 Aug,Alyson 10 double digits Sept and our newest 20 yr old Oct 3rd.We also had some tears and heart ache when we learned Chuck's Dad has Cancer, inoperable Cancer but praise God he is still with us. Its terrible though when family divides and some are lost because of it,but we pray daily for peace and comfort during this time and know that one day we will meet again when our heavenly father comes for us. We welcome our 9th pregnancy in August but quickly found out we lost our precious angel and he/she is not residing with God in his arms, we also got some other exciting news at the same time,we are now going to be Grandparents. Our oldest Daughter Nicole will welcome her first baby coming April 2012.
So even though 2011 brought us some joy, tears, excitement, disappointment we are knowing that 2012 will be more.

Whats new!!!

Well, we started our Christmas break last Friday, the girls were excited to have a break from school,so here we are. We are doing our MOH timeline so,we are making and decorating Adam,Eve,Tubal and Jubal Cain. Next I am into alot of projects, this is what I get for watching "This old House" I have now decided to redo the cabinets, paint them to be exact. Not sure if I want a brown or Charcoal color. I found an awesome old antique dresser that I am refinishing for our 10 yr old daughter, I also picked up an old mid western TV hutch, that I am also refinishing.SO I have a ton of projects going on that I need to complete in our 2 week break.
I have also been reading an awesome book By Elizabeth George called "How to raise your daughters after God's own heart" I can say enough about the book except if you have daughters get it,right now we have 5 daughters and 2 sons, our 1 daughter and 2 sons are grown and so we now have 4 little girls to raise.

So much has happened since my last post

Well, so far alot has happened since the last time I posted.

First- we have had some pretty harsh marital problems to only find out we were expecting 4days later and to our surprise,we were actually trying but did not think it would happen so quickly. The Lord knows best. To only find out several weeks later we were loosing our precious much wanted baby. That has been hard on both of us, my husband has had a really hard time with all of this b/c this baby we both wanted pretty bad. I found out 3 days before we passed the baby, my only living Grandmother died and passed on to the arms of Jesus. ALL of this in the midst of homeschooling as well which has taken the back seat b/c I cant focus much lately.

Second- Through our marital problems the Lord has shown me things I never looked at before and he is taking me to new places. I'll share later, but wanted to update.

Our Math activity for Pre-K

I printed out number cards on card stock and took a marker and drew different shapes on the card to match the number's.I also did some stickers on some of the cards to show the number as well.

Then what we do is take some dried beans, or even buttons and they turn 1 card at a time over and count out the counters to match the numbers.

This can also go well with matching shapes as well with numbers, sort of like two for one, matching shapes and numbers.

Todays VBS Motto was Faith!!

I had to think while teaching the kids about Faith and thought how many times have I doubted God.When we lost our babies,I doubted God knew what he was doing or what happened.I thought so many times he was doing it to me,When it got down to TTC and it took us sooo long 15 months,I doubted God would ever give us a baby. When so many times things went wrong I doubted God would carry us or me. When my mother in law passed away I doubted God reasonings for taking her home, when a dear friend lost her little boy,I thought what a cruel God,how could he take a precious little boy.I doubted God's reasons.Oh,how many times we have so little Faith in our sovereign God.He has told us a million times he will always be there,he'll never leave us or forsake us but all the time we doubt him.We doubt he'll be able to carry the weight on our shoulders, to carry the burden of loosing a loved one, because how could he know, he took them.Yet,he walks with us and talks with us and during the storm he carries us,so many times does he carry us. We are flesh and are of so little Faith we forget he will not let us despair or leave us.
I am so blessed to be able to once lean on my God to help me through all the storms I will be in

Can't believe next month our sweet VR miracle will be turning 1.

Can not begin to describe how excited I was when we conceived her and she is now growing up so much and turning one next month, I can not wait to start trying for another,I love all my children and love having children as well,God willing. She is crawling backwards now and is so funny, she loves the bath and gets so excited when we turn the water on. She pulls herself on the side of the tub and giggles when the water runs.
